There are many misconceptions about hypnotherapy. Quite simply, hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation where the subconscious part of our brain is engaged and receptive to positive suggestion. The subconscious mind governs our behaviours and feelings using learnt experiences and engrained value and belief systems. The conscious part of our mind, the part which rationalises our thoughts and behaviours is powerfully influenced by the content of the subconscious mind and because of these influences we behave in ways which are often unwanted. Although we are aware of our problematic behaviours or feelings, and consciously want to change them, change may be difficult due to the powerful influence of the subconscious. The role of the hypnotherapist is to reshape the subconscious mind in order to positively reframe feelings and behaviours. This results in powerful and sometimes life changing emotional or behaviour changes.
I cannot stress enough what a powerful tool hypnotherapy is in empowering you to transform your life by regaining control over unwanted problematic behaviours and feelings. Perhaps you want to stop smoking, lose weight, overcome an addiction, fear or habit, need help in boosting self-esteem and confidence or want to overcome a life event. Using hypnosis techniques and neuro-linguistic programming, I deliver tailor made hypnotherapy from my practice in Norwich. The hypnotherapy I practice is designed to rapidly target your unwanted behaviours and feelings and enable the change you desire.
Results and confidentiality are always a priority, but it is also my job to provide a friendly and supportive service that you are comfortable with so you can enjoy the process as well as get the results you want. I believe that each person is unique in their requirements and as such I deliver hypnotherapy which is uniquely tailored to your needs. I have found that personalised hypnotherapy that draws on carefully selected hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming techniques gets the best results. The most critical part of my job is to ensure that we identify what will work best for you, as an individual. This is why I always engage in a thorough consultation and planning process before therapy commences.
Our relationship is very much a partnership. You must genuinely desire a new behaviour and I can only make changes that you want to be made. At all times you are conscious and in full control of the therapy being delivered and may terminate a session whenever you wish to do so.
Your recommendations to friends and family are important to me so it is vital that I deliver the best and most cost efficient service possible. If I believe that the issue with which you present is unsuitable for hypnotherapy, or that you are unlikely to get the results you expect, I will tell you. It is important to me that my services meet your expectations.
